Keegan & Wolfgang's Midnight Gem Wedding in Galena, Illinois

Keegan and Wolfgang celebrated their wedding at Midnight Gem, formerly known as Ashton Hill Farm, in Galena, Illinois on August 16, 2025. They are such a sweet couple and we had so much fun capturing video on their wedding day!
The morning started with the girls getting ready in the bridal suite at Ashton Hill and the guys taking photos in their matching Hawaiian shirts and jeans. Very chill vibes! We love Ashton Hill because there are so many spaces for getting ready, taking photos, and hanging out. It’s an all-in-one space! With the chill schedule of the morning, we were able to get drone shots of the venue, which was so perfect because Ashton Hill has the best scenery. You have to capture it!
It was quickly time for Keegan and Wolfgang’s first look in front of the iconic Ashton Hills windows. It was so sweet; Wolfgang teared up as soon as he saw Keegan! Their bridal party was on site so then it was time for photos. It was a pretty hot day, so thankfully Ashton Hill had plenty of indoor space for the couple’s portraits and bridal party photos. We grabbed some footage of this and a few interviews with family and friends.
Ceremony time! It actually looked like it might rain, but just before the ceremony started the clouds cleared and we had sun. We absolutely love the ceremony space at Ashton Hill. There’s a beautiful walk from the venue down to the ceremony site, where there are benches built into a hill. We loved watching Keegan walk down this path to Wolfgang. It was a beautiful moment!
People mingled inside and outside for cocktail hour and then it was time to start the reception! We did the grand entrance, first dances, and a cake cutting, and we even did a photo dash with each table at the reception. So fun! During all of the fun, we found time to get some interviews for the couple. During the reception, you could see a storm rolling in from the distance, and guests quickly saw this and came outside to watch. It was so cool! We brought Keegan and Wolfgang outside for some photos and videos, and Charlie flew the drone. We got some of my favorite shots ever!
When the sun set and people were dancing the night away, it finally started to rain. Perfect timing honestly! Thank you to Keegan and Wolfgang for letting us play a role in their wedding day. It was amazing!
